The Meitheal initiative is a integral part of our schools pastoral care system. A group of Senior students are carefully selected as Meitheal Leaders and their role is to look out for the first year students. This is to ensure that our first years have a safe and enjoyable experience settling into our school. Any student interested in becoming a Meitheal Leader must present for interview. The successful candidates receive comprehensive training during the summer, courtesy of the County Wexford Meitheal Initiative
The Meitheal Leaders take students on their first day in school, and throughout the year, for fun based games and activities. These activities will introduce students to each other and will help them to meet new friends in their class.
Students are encouraged to consult with their Meitheal Leaders at any stage if they ever feel lost, isolated, or worried about anything.
