There is a wider variety of academic supports available in the College, including:
- Evening Study (2 hours each day after school)
- Maths club every morning before school 08.15-08.45. Students can get one-to-one help from mathematics teachers.
- Easter and Midterm Supervised Study (09.00 - 16.00 Daily) for Third, Fifth and Sixth Year Students.
- Term reports issued to parents/guardians present the formal end-of-term exam result in each subject, alongside formative feedback, while also reporting three class test results for each subject which are conducted during term time as part of continuous assessment.
- Student Academic Potential Review Meetings with an Assistant Principal
- Athena Academic tracking software profiles for all students
- Differentiated and extension tasks within the classroom, incorporating Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
- Participation in academic competitions (e.g. Maths Olympiad, Young Scientist)
- Mentoring or academic guidance with subject teachers or year heads
- Opportunities to engage with third-level institutions, talks, University visits and workshops (e.g Biology Transition Year Programme at Maynooth University; Waterford Transition Year MiniMed School etc
