Through the looking Glass- The AHEAD Online Webinar Series
This Friday’s session 29th May Friday at 2.30pm (IST, Irish time) week 10 of The AHEAD 10-week webinar series will be on ‘Inclusive Mobility and Student Well-being’ which will include the following;
- Dominique Montagnese and Valérie Van Hees from The Support Centre for Inclusive Education talking about ‘Inclusive Mobility- Making Study Abroad Programmes More Inclusive for Students with Disabilities.
- Rachel Davies from DeMontfort University will look at ‘#Health DMU: A Whole Organisation Approach to Student Wellbeing’.
- Marjolein Büscher-Touwen, Dr Karien Coppens and Harriet Rempe, Expert Centre on Inclusive Education will ask ‘Do You Contribute to the Student Journey?’ as part of their session.

A Wellbeing Webinar for Students
In AHEAD's recent learner survey, more than half of students felt they were not coping well with learning from home. Students who had a mental health condition made up almost 70% of those not coping well.
GetAHEAD have put together a free 1 hour webinar on Zoom for that will look at practical tips for students and learners on minding mental wellbeing as well as insights into how student mental health is being supported during this time. The webinar hopes to start a conversation about mental wellbeing during this pandemic and looking into the future. The details are as follows;

Digital Accessibility Webinar Series
AHEAD have put together an introductory webinar on creating and delivering accessible PowerPoint presentations taking place June 2nd at 2.30pm.
This introduction online session, facilitated via Zoom, will be a live demonstration of addressing accessibility issues in PowerPoint so it is accessible to all including students, staff, employers with disabilities; helping to embed inclusive practice and UDL (Universal Design for Learning).

The Future of the Workplace post Covid-19 and the Implications for People with Disabilities Webinar
The times we are living in are uncertain for all of us right now but at AHEAD we want to discuss the impact of Covid-19 on the workplace of the future for potential and current employees with disabilities. The event will hear talks from experts on assistive technology, disability advocacy and mental health support as part of this free session.
