Today we started off the day with a musical performance by up-and-coming music star Saibh Skelly. Saibh treated us to a selection of lovely songs including a number that she had written herself. Her talent was obvious to all present. Saibh also gave some solid advice to students about the positive and negative impact that social media can have in our lives. She also talked about the pressure young people can be under to look a certain way. Males and females feel pressured in terms of body image, but Saibh encouraged students to be themselves and not to be drawn in by digitally enhanced photos of celebrities that are not real. After her performance Saibh took time to sign autographs and have her photo taken with students. A great mornings entertainment was had by all. One suspects we haven't heard the last of this talented young singer songwriter!
