On Friday 2nd of May students and staff from Bunclody Community College set off for an action-packed day at Emerald Park (formerly Tayto Park), and it did not disappoint! With exciting new attractions and classic favourites, the trip was a highlight of the school year.
New Rides, Big Thrills!
This year, students had the chance to experience Emerald Park’s brand-new roller coasters, including The Quest and Na Fianna Force as well as old favourites:
- The Viking Voyage – A high-speed water coaster with twists, turns, and a huge splash finale!
- The Cú Chulainn Coaster – Still Ireland’s largest roller coaster, delivering adrenaline-pumping drops at 100km/h!
- Dino Dash – A family-friendly coaster with prehistoric surprises around every turn.
Between the screams and laughter, students also enjoyed the park’s zoo, adventure playgrounds, and live shows, making it a perfect mix of excitement and relaxation.
A Day to Remember
The trip was a fantastic opportunity for students across all year groups to bond, challenge themselves on the rides, and create unforgettable memories. A special thanks to the teachers and staff who helped organise the day and kept everything running smoothly.
