At Bunclody Community College, we take immense pride in celebrating the achievements of our students, both inside and outside the classroom. This year, two of our 6th Year students have reached significant milestones in their sporting journeys, demonstrating the dedication, commitment and determination that make them outstanding ambassadors for our school.
Congratulations to 6th Year student Brandon Nolan, who was selected for the prestigious Leinster Under-18 Clubs Summer Programme. Brandon had the opportunity to train in Dublin alongside some of the province's most talented young rugby players, gaining valuable experience at a very high level of competition.
Brandon and his Leinster teammates went on to enjoy an exceptional campaign, securing impressive victories against Ulster, Connacht and Munster. Their unbeaten run culminated in a memorable cup-winning performance, with Brandon proudly helping his team lift the trophy.
This achievement is a testament to Brandon's hard work, resilience and unwavering commitment to rugby. Everyone at Bunclody Community College is incredibly proud of what he has accomplished and we look forward to supporting him as he continues to develop and progress in his rugby career.
We are also delighted to congratulate Carla Byrne, another talented 6th Year student, on an exciting new chapter in her football journey.
Carla has signed with the renowned Dublin club Bohemians FC, joining both their Under-18 and Under-23 squads. This fantastic achievement reflects the countless hours of dedication, training and perseverance that Carla has invested in her sport.
While Carla's ability on the pitch is undeniable, it is her character, work ethic and positive attitude that make her such an outstanding role model within our school community. She continues to inspire both students and staff through her commitment to excellence and her determination to achieve her goals.
Everyone at Bunclody Community College wishes Carla every success as she embarks on this exciting opportunity with Bohemians FC. We look forward to following her progress and celebrating her future achievements.
Brandon and Carla embody the values of commitment, perseverance and ambition that are at the heart of Bunclody Community College. Their success reminds us of what can be achieved through hard work, dedication and a passion for sport.
We congratulate them both on their outstanding accomplishments and wish them continued success in the years ahead. They are a credit to their families, their clubs and the entire Bunclody Community College community.
