Bunclody Community College student Sam Bolger was interviewed today on the Alan Corcoran Show on Southeast Radio, representing the school’s entry in the Stripe Young Scientist Exhibition.
Sam spoke on behalf of the project team, which also includes Aaron Sharlott and Thomas Larkin, outlining their research and aims. The students’ project focuses on combatting the “Firehose of Falsehood” theory, a concept used to describe the rapid spread of misinformation on social media platforms. During the interview, Sam highlighted the relevance of the topic in today’s digital world and the importance of helping people critically evaluate online information.
