Dr David Maloney is a Cognitive Psychologist and Psychotherapist. He has delivered talks on academic procrastination in secondary schools and universities across Ireland. In his private practice, David works with young people dealing with academic procrastination as well as related issues such as anxiety, depression, and motivation.
Dr David Maloney will talk about some of the best ways to support teens on their academic journey. He will discuss some of the most common issues that lead to lack of engagement with school work (academic procrastination). This talk focuses on helping teens to:
- Set goals
- Manage time
- Overcome stress
- Improve self-care
The talk also highlights the importance of building greater confidence and healthy self-esteem in our students. Questions submitted from parents will be addressed.
