Meet Susan Walker, Programme Leader for the PE PGCE/PGDE at LJMU

Susan Walker, was an Operator Intelligence and Security in the British Army for three years and then spent five years in Hong Kong as a Sports Coach and Netball Development Officer. Immediately prior to taking up a post at Liverpool John Moores University, she worked as a Head of P.E. in Gloucestershire and an SSCO for the Gloucester School Sports Partnership.

She also became a moderator for the GCSE P.E Course and a member of the Institute of Educational Assessors and more recently a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and External Examiner.

Meet Ceriann Magill, Senior Lecturer at LJMU

Ceriann Magill is an academic member of staff at LJMU teaching on the BA (Hons) Physical Education Programme. On this course she has responsibility for the delivery of physiology, scientific principles and personal and professional development. Ceri is currently working towards her PhD which is central to physical education teaching efficacy and the value of work-based placements.

She is an experienced physical education teacher and has worked as head of the department, school sports coordinator and has integrated a range of initiatives including Living for Sport, Step into Sport and Sports Leaders within her teaching. Ceri is a member of the Association for Physical Education (AfPE).
