Bunclody Community College is delighted to extend a very warm welcome to our new First Year students for 2026. We are delighted to have them join our school community and look forward to helping them settle into school life over the coming weeks and months.
Our new First Year students have joined us from a wide variety of feeder primary schools across our catchment area. They bring with them a range of interests, talents and experiences, and we look forward to seeing them make new friends and become an important part of life here in Bunclody Community College.
As part of their introduction to secondary school, our First Years will participate in our School Taster Programme. This gives students the opportunity to experience the wide range of subjects available in BCC before making their subject choices. Over the course of the programme, students will get to try subjects including Metalwork, Home Economics, Music, Art, Engineering and many more.
The Taster Programme is an excellent opportunity for students to discover new interests, develop practical and creative skills and get a better understanding of the subjects they may wish to pursue in the future. With such a wide range of subjects and learning opportunities available, we hope that every student will find something that inspires and interests them.
We are confident that our new First Years will really enjoy their first year at Bunclody Community College and all of the opportunities that school life has to offer. We look forward to seeing them grow in confidence, develop new skills and make many happy memories during their time with us.
We would also like to extend a special welcome to all students who have transferred to Bunclody Community College from other schools. We are delighted to have you join us and are confident that you will quickly settle into our school community, make new friends and feel very much at home in BCC.
From all the staff at Bunclody Community College, we wish our new students every success and happiness as they begin this exciting new chapter. Welcome to BCC!
